When you are using a waste container
provided by your residential service provider, you need to be aware of some
Do’s and Don’ts. Whilst a number of
items are perfectly safe and acceptable to be disposed of in the waste
container, there are certain restrictions to ensure the safety of anyone
working near you or to protect the environment. So it is important you know
what items are acceptable to make sure your waste collection and disposal
process is a hassle-free one.
The waste management companies
request their clients to be aware of and observe some rules so that it is easy
for them also to provide exceptional services. The items that are perfectly
safe and accepted for waste containers include paper, cans, cardboard boxes,
grass, leaves, yard trimmings, tree limbs and shrub trimmings. Ensure grass,
leaves and yard trimmings must be bagged and tied properly and the tree limbs
and shrubs should be cut to fit inside the container.
You should not place hot
ashes or coal in the waste container. All ashes and coal must be cooled, bagged
and tied before putting it in the container. You should avoid putting large
quantities of dirt, rocks, or concrete in the container. Other items which your
residential service
provider will prevent you from putting in a waste container include
flammable materials such oil, gas, paint, explosives, construction or
remodeling materials and hazardous waste.
